A joint venture (JV) is sharing in an exchange to benefit two or more parties, who are looking to increase their businesses. The purpose of a JV is swapping to gain more sales, visitors, or subscribers.

Examples of JVs, sharing in commission sales by someone who has a product and you advertising it to make money or even swapping ezine ads to increase your subscriber base or website traffic. There are many ways you can JV to benefit your business and the business of your JV partner.

Website owners or ezine subscribers may not have the money to pay for advertising, so they find ways to get more traffic and/or ezine subscribers at no charge. Considering to JV is a great way to increase your business at no cost.

I have included some common JV ideas, ones I have created, and others which I created and use to gain more subscribers or website visitors.


Using Ebooks to Promote Others -

Offer a free ebook where people can offer it on their websites and benefit from giving it away. You can let people change the allowed information by co-branding (the ability to add your info. or your affiliate links) the introduction page. Once the website has your free ebook on their site, you can link them in the inside of the ebook. If you have many websites participating then it would be a great cross promoting tactic - Traffic Virus.

Currently, I have a free ebook where people can co-brand it plus offer it on their websites, and I link them in the inside of it. Free Ebook Swaps -

If you offer a free ebook and another website owner offers a free ebook, you can email the website owner and ask them if they would like to swap ebooks.


Ezine Ad Swaps -

Ezine ad swapping with other ezine publishers is a way to gain more subscribers. How you go about finding ezine publishers to swap ezine ads with is searching for websites that would compliment your website.


Solo Ad Swaps -

The newest kind of swapping is "solo ad swapping." In the past couple of months, I have received several requests to "solo ad swap." A solo ad is a mailing you send to your subscribers where it is the only ad in the email. Like ezine ad swapping, you would email other publishers that compliment your website and ask to solo ad swap.


Ezine Subscribe Thank You Swaps -

When a new subscriber subscribes to your ezine, an automatic "Welcome Letter" is generated in most cases. The "Welcome Letter" a new subscriber receives is a great opportunity to JV with other ezine publishers. You can swap ads in the "Welcome Letter" with one or more JV partners to gain more subscribers or visitors. More then likely, when someone subscribes to an ezine, they will read the "WelcomeLetter" to find out about the newsletter content and/or get their free gift, if one was offered.


Article Swaps -

If you write and publish articles, "article swapping" maybe a way you can JV with other article publishers. Find authors complimenting your website and ask if the publisher would like to "article swap." "Article swapping" would be a great way to exchange quality content and grow each others business.


Pop Up Swaps -

An idea for website owners, use pop ups to JV with other website owners. Find websites complimenting your website and ask them if they would be interested in putting a pop up on their site and you put their pop up on your site. "Pop up swapping" would be a great way to get additional traffic to your site.


Ebook Swaps -

If you sell an ebook and don't have an affiliate program, you may consider having a JV with another person who is selling ebooks too. Email website owners of ebooks complimenting your site and ask them if they would like to swap ebook links with you. You would put their image and link on your site and your image and link on their site. This is a great way to increase more sales for each of you.

Considering a joint venture with others is a proven way to increase ezine subscribers and website traffic. A JV makes perfect business sense. If you are not doing any JVs then you should consider it. I have given you some ways you can JV with others, but you may think of other ideas to JV to grow your business.
